I was send to Greystones surgery from my surgery at Wallhouse
I was very impressed with the care and attention l received..This is my 3rd visit to the GP in regards to this complaint..The lady Doctor l saw she was so through instead of writing out a prescription she checked me over
If you need to see a doctor you have first to tell the receptionist what is wrong with you, which can be very embarrassing. She then passes the message to one of the doctors who then decides whether you need an appointment. This is not good enough, ill people need to see a doctor not just receive a phone call. My husband recently had a mild stroke and Grteystone were no help at all, after three telephone calls and a letter explaining things, he eventually got an appointment to see a doctor to follow up with the medication prescribed by the hospital. Are all doctors like this now-a-days?
Helpful staff
Very good
I find the process of getting an appointment long-winded if using the online form and just long if trying to phone. I guess I am of the generation when we had a family doctor who knew your medical history and was a confident as well as a doctor. I have been able to speak (on the phone) to a pharmacist or in-house to a clinical practitioner (?) but I have not been offered a doctor. Personally I have lost confidence, not in the ability of the doctors but in the ease of seeing someone when I need to. Having said all that, I cannot fault your brilliant team of nurses who have taken my blood and given me injections recently. I realise that things have changed since COVID and there are new ways of doing things but the personal touch has been lost.
